The Mission of Bridging Rainbows

The Ministry of Bridging Rainbows
The Ministry of Bridging Rainbows is not about winning debates. It’s about winning hearts and sharing the Good News of Jesus. We recognize the harm, repent of falsehoods, reconcile through love, and reach the rejected.
When the lies are exposed and it becomes clear that Scripture has been misinterpreted and misused to exclude LGBTQ+ people from the Body of Christ, the heart of Jesus comes back into focus—His heart of love, mercy, and redemption offered to all people
Our Mission: Recognize • Repent • Reconcile • Reach
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him
John 3:17
Recognize Enemy Tactics
Ambassadors of Jesus were never called to fight in a culture war—but that is where the enemy has won the battleground. The tactic has been framing LGBTQ+ people as a threat to family, faith, and morality.
Political campaigns and church movements urged believers to “protect traditional marriage” or “defend biblical values.” Some were even taught that loving LGBTQ+ people meant rebelling against God. How can anything unloving ever come from Jesus?
Today, social media amplifies outrage over empathy. Algorithms reward anger, allowing myths about “indoctrination” and “agendas” to spread faster than truth.
Comment threads on faith-based pages often spiral into hostility, leaving LGBTQ+ readers feeling unsafe and unwanted.
When faith is built on fear, walls rise where bridges were meant to be.
Reflection
When algorithms amplify hate and division, followers of Jesus must amplify grace and truth.
Recognize the Harm
Recognize the harm done to children when we don’t understand that attraction and identity begin forming early. When a young person realizes they may be gay or that their gender identity differs from expectations, the struggle can be especially painful for those raised in the Church.
The “sin” narrative brings shame and condemnation about something they did not choose.
Every child—every person—must know:
Being gay does not disqualify anyone from a vibrant relationship with Jesus or from the gift of covenantal human love.
If they expect condemnation from their faith community, it not only affects their mental health but can crush their spirit and cause them to turn from God.
Being rejected by God’s people can feel like being rejected by God. God calls us to speak life, love, and hope—not shame or condemnation.
Tell them: You fit in God’s family. You are loved. You belong.
Reflection
When we recognize the harm, are we willing to become part of the healing?
Practical Ways to Build Bridges
- Build Bridges: Create safe spaces where LGBTQ+ youth and Christian peers can connect and experience belonging.
- Teach Parents: Help parents recall their own early experiences of affection and attraction. Understanding begins with empathy.
- Listen to Stories: Give them a voice. Healing begins when the Church listens without judgment.
- Learn More: For extensive evidence, history, and powerful testimonies, visit lgbtqandthebible.com
Reflection
How can we teach our children and the world the truth about God’s love if they don’t see it extended to everyone?
Repent and Repair
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” — Luke 23:34
As the deception of exclusion is unmasked, we are called to repent, which means to change our minds. By believing and repeating a false narrative, we have misrepresented Jesus and hurt people.
Repentance means rejecting the old narrative and embracing all people with the love of Jesus and the true Gospel.
We must acknowledge that we misrepresented Jesus and humbly seek His forgiveness.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.” — 1 John 1:9
Through repentance, we become true ambassadors of Christ, repairing the broken bridge and restoring His reputation in a watching world.
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:35
Reflection
Repentance is the beginning of restoration.
Reconcile with Love and Proclaim the Truth
Repentance moves us into reconciliation. It means seeking out those we once pushed away, offering Christlike love where rejection once stood, and rebuilding bridges where walls once divided.
We are willing to say:
“I deeply regret the harm I caused by believing and repeating false teachings.
I am sorry for the wall that made you feel excluded from God’s family.”
The truth is this: You belong. You have purpose. The Kingdom of God is incomplete without you.
The Gospel has no loopholes. God’s grace extends to everyone who responds to His love.
That means we must replace the conditional, works-based gospel of “Jesus + You Must Change” with the true one:
Salvation = Jesus + Nothing.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
Reflection
Do you embrace the true Gospel?
Reach the Rejected
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:10
Our mission is to gather the scattered sheep and assure them:
“The Good Shepherd wants you in His family. You are needed in His Kingdom.”
It’s time to reach those who have built walls around their hearts—the lost sheep wounded by religion yet still longing for relationship with God.
We are called to speak truth where lies have divided and to bring healing where pain remains.
The Good Shepherd longs to gather His sheep, heal the wounded, and bind up broken hearts.
Reflection
If Jesus sought out the people the religious leaders rejected, shouldn’t we do the same?
The Time is Now
The time is short. He is at the door. Let’s rebuild His bridge—together.
